New York State Expands Cannabis Sales to Approved Farmers Markets

New York now allows licensed cannabis microbusinesses and dispensaries to participate in approved farmers’ markets, pop-up events, and community events through Cannabis Showcase Event permits. Businesses must obtain local approval and a location-specific permit from the state Office of Cannabis Management before sales can begin. According to the report, sales areas must be restricted to adults age 21 and older, and on-site consumption, free samples, and giveaways are prohibited.
