Teen Cannabis Use Continues To Fall As State Reforms Take Hold

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) 2025 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 12.9% of U.S. high school students reported using cannabis in the past 30 days, compared with 17% in 2023 and 23.1% in 2011.

The survey also found that 25.5% of high school students reported having used cannabis at least once in their lifetime, down from 39.9% in 2011. The findings are based on the CDC’s national survey of U.S. high school students.
