2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH)
New data from the 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) shows that cannabis use among adolescents ages 12 to 17 continues to trend downward. According to the survey, 8.7% of adolescents reported cannabis use in the past year, compared with 14.2% in 2011.
The report also found that past-month cannabis use among adolescents declined from 6.1% in 2021 to 5.0% in 2025, while cannabis use among adults increased during the same period. The findings provide a snapshot of current national cannabis use trends across age groups and offer additional context for ongoing policy and public health discussions.
