Welcome to CIAO’s 2026 Lobby Day at the Capitol—a full day of direct, meaningful engagement with the legislators who shape the policies that impact our industry. Lobby Day is one of the most valuable benefits of being involved with CIAO: showing up together, sharing our perspective, and making sure decision-makers hear from the people doing the work on the ground.

What to Expect

CIAO will setup as many legislative meetings as possible—prioritizing participants’ districts (home + business HQ)—and we will also pursue meetings with key committee members as scheduling allows. Throughout the day, we’ll also plan informal drop-ins to say hello, introduce ourselves to staff, and continue building relationships.

As in previous years, the State Library will serve as our home base for the day (prep, lunch, and wrap-up). You’ll have a place to gather, leave your things, and regroup between meetings.

Participation Survey (Required)

If you’d like to participate, please complete the Lobby Day Participation Survey as soon as possible, and no later than February 1. This deadline gives us the time we need to schedule meetings and organize a strong day for everyone.

Preparation / Training

To make sure everyone feels confident and prepared, we will host a brief Lobby Day pre-meeting/training on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM via Zoom, and we’ll also review key points the morning of Lobby Day before meetings begin.
