The DEA announcement on rescheduling cannabis, along with the reintroduction of the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA) by Senators Wyden, Booker, and Schumer, the ongoing work on the Safe Banking Act by Senator Merkley, and updates to the U.S. Farm Bill, are shifting the federal landscape significantly.

While these actions are causing a mixture of hope and concern within our community they are also fuel to drive the cannabis legalization conversation forward. Given all of this, our upcoming meeting is a crucial opportunity to discuss the potential impacts—good, bad, or unknown—of these changes on our market. This meeting will be key for industry leaders to unite and and openly discuss strategies for navigating these evolving circumstances. Importantly, we will also explore how, through collective advocacy, we might influence these bills and affect their outcomes.

Please note, our new meeting format: The session from 6:00-7:30 PM will be exclusive to members and their guests. Following that, at 7:30 PM, we welcome all cannabis industry professionals. More details below.

• 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Primary Program. This segment includes guest speakers and CIAO (Cannabis Industry Association Outreach?) presentations, offering insights, updates, and valuable information tailored for members and guests.

Open Section for All Invited Cannabis Industry Professionals

Time: 7:30 PM Onwards

Agenda:

• 7:30 PM: Doors Open To All Registered Guests. Expanding the audience to include non-members who have registered in advance, welcoming a broader spectrum of industry professionals.
• 7:30 PM - 7:40 PM: One Minute Member Spotlights. A rapid-fire showcase, allowing members to highlight their businesses or contributions to the cannabis industry, fostering community recognition and opportunities.
• 7:40 PM Onwards: Industry Fun. An amazing opportunity to enjoy food, drink, festivities, socializing, and networking. The latter part of the evening is dedicated to building connections, enjoying food and drink, and celebrating the cannabis industry in a more relaxed and festive atmosphere.
