The Cannabis Industry Alliance of Oregon (CIAO) remains cautiously optimistic about the indications from the federal government for cannabis rescheduling. The recent move, detailed here, directs the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to reclassify only medical cannabis to Schedule III. While that represents a meaningful shift in federal policy, it is one that should be approached with patience by Oregon’s cannabis industry
