Impact Of Cannabidiol Use On Cardiovascular Regulation, Sleep Quality, And Zone-based Exercise Performance
Researchers compared cardiovascular, sleep, and exercise-related measurements between 20 participants, including 9 regular CBD users and 11 non-users. Participants were monitored in free-living conditions over a 72-hour period using wearable devices that continuously collected physiological, sleep, and workout-related data.
According to the study, CBD users exhibited a lower maximum heart rate and recorded longer time in bed, longer sleep duration, and more REM sleep compared with non-users. The study also found that CBD users spent more time in heart rate Zone 2 during exercise. No significant differences were observed in resting heart rate, average heart rate, awake duration during sleep, or time spent in other exercise heart rate zones.
